Current Schedule and Upcoming Events at the Kammerbühne Cottbus

The search term Kammerbühne Cottbus schedule clearly shows what many visitors pay attention to first: What is happening today, what is coming next, and which genre is currently being shown at the Kammerbühne? The official schedule page of the Staatstheater Cottbus answers these questions, as it allows filtering by venue, and the Kammerbühne appears not only as a single stage but as a fixed, regularly used location for various formats. On April 16, 2026, Die Krankschreibung will be shown, on April 18, 2026, Die Kuh Rosmarie, on April 21, 2026, Hīeran [Hören], and on April 26, 2026, Die schönste Version. Additionally, formats such as Lesen ohne Grenzen are also listed in the foyer of the Kammerbühne, showing that the venue is used not only for classic evening performances but also for low-threshold encounters and cultural exchange. This program diversity is SEO-relevant because it covers the search intent behind today, upcoming events, and schedule simultaneously. Therefore, those visiting the Kammerbühne will not find a static venue but a house in ongoing operation that focuses on current relevance while being artistically very broad. The stage also stands for extraordinary productions, as shown by recent and younger examples like Freddie, a ballet production about Freddie Mercury, or HERE, a European premiere as part of a cooperation with the Lausitz Festival. Thus, the Kammerbühne Cottbus connects local anchoring with regional attention and a schedule that remains attractive for different age groups and interests. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/programm/spielplan.html))

Particularly interesting for search queries regarding Kammerbühne Cottbus today and Kammerbühne Cottbus upcoming events is the fact that the stage frequently appears in combination with current premieres, guest performances, and special formats. On the homepage of the Staatstheater Cottbus, the next premieres with venue information are published, including several productions at the Kammerbühne, such as drama and ballet works as well as musical theater from the theater youth club. This is important for visitors because the Kammerbühne is not only a place for repertoire but also for new material, premieres, and young formats. The terms Freddie Kammerbühne Cottbus, HERE Kammerbühne Cottbus August 31, and Mucki Konzert Kammerbühne Cottbus October 17 show that searchers expect not just an address but concrete stage experiences. The Kammerbühne meets this expectation with a schedule that features artistic experiments, family formats, guest performances, and theater for adults side by side. This makes the stage relevant for search engines as well as for real visitors: Those looking for a theater that is both well-planned and surprising will find a very strong mix of reliability and present-day relevance here. Address, Phone Number, and Contact for Visitor Service

For the search intent Kammerbühne Cottbus address and Kammerbühne Cottbus phone number, the official contact details are particularly important. The Kammerbühne is located at Wernerstraße 60, 03046 Cottbus. The visitor service of the Staatstheater Cottbus is located in the Großen Haus at Schillerplatz 1, but it is the central point of contact for questions about tickets, reservations, visitor service, opening hours, and general concerns regarding the venues. According to the official contact page, the service can be reached by phone at +49 355 7824 242 and by email at service@staatstheater-cottbus.de. The ticket page also lists the opening hours of the visitor service: Mondays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Tuesdays to Fridays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Those who want to pick up tickets at the last minute can usually do so at the box office until 30 minutes before the performance starts; remaining tickets are available depending on availability. This is particularly useful for a stage like the Kammerbühne, as it allows for spontaneous visits and last-minute program decisions to be well organized. For SEO, this combination of address, phone number, opening hours, and ticket information is ideal because it consolidates the most common practical questions into a compact information block. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/staatstheater/kontakt-und-anfahrt.html))

The contact information is not only practical but also a sign of the good integration of the Kammerbühne into the overall theater operation. Visitors do not have to search long for individual pages but can orient themselves at a central point. This is particularly helpful for search terms like kammerbühne cottbus telefonnummer, kammerbühne cottbus adresse, and theater cottbus kammerbühne, as the Kammerbühne is organizationally closely linked to the visitor service, the webshop, and the box offices as part of the Staatstheater Cottbus. Additionally, tickets are available online around the clock, which further facilitates access to the schedule. Therefore, those planning a theater visit can choose flexibly between online purchase, service contact, and pickup. This is a real advantage for groups, subscription guests, and those who decide last minute. The transparent communication about address, opening hours, and ticket paths contributes to the perception of the Kammerbühne not only as a cultural place but also as a well-organized event venue. This connection of culture and service is a strong argument for the search engine relevance of the location. Parking and Directions to the Kammerbühne Cottbus

Those looking to park at Kammerbühne Cottbus generally do not want long detours but clear guidance for their arrival. A dedicated parking page related only to the Kammerbühne is not separately indicated on the official website, but the theater page lists several nearby parking options for the inner-city location: the parking garage at Galeria Kaufhof Cottbus with access via August-Bebel-Straße, the parking lot at Wernerstraße, and the parking lot at Viehmarkt with access via Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. Since the Kammerbühne is located at Wernerstraße 60, the Wernerstraße location is particularly convenient for visitors. This connection is a plausible conclusion based on the official information regarding the address and parking options of the theater location in the Cottbus center. Those who want to be completely sure should contact the visitor service before their visit, especially for evening performances, premieres, or sold-out nights. For people who prefer to use public transport, the central location of the venue is also an advantage, even if the specific stop and line information on the official directions page is mainly provided for the Großen Haus. The practical core message remains: The Kammerbühne is easily accessible in the city center, and the theater page provides useful initial orientation with the parking information. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/staatstheater/spielstaetten/artikel-grosses-haus.html?utm_source=openai))

Especially for search queries like kammerbühne cottbus parken or kammerbühne staatstheater cottbus, it is helpful not to reduce visitor flow solely to the exact address but also to consider the theater logic. The Kammerbühne is part of a larger cultural ensemble that is closely interconnected through the schedule, contact page, and ticket page. This results in a clear advantage for directions: Those who have purchased tickets can find their route within the same ecosystem of information instead of relying on external overviews. Therefore, a brief preliminary check of the parking situation is advisable, especially on days with multiple events in the house or when other programs are taking place in the city center. The official information makes it clear that the theater consciously organizes the visit so that visitors are not left alone. For the SEO aspect, this means: The search interest in parking is not answered with a vague formula but with clear, locally appropriate guidance that can be derived from the official Cottbus theater information. Seating Plan, Seats, and Equipment of the Kammerbühne

The Kammerbühne is not just small but is intentionally designed to be flexible. The official description refers to a multifunctional stage for drama, musical theater, and dance, where scene changes are part of the program. Different setups can be realized in the hall: arena or proscenium, with audience traverse or table seating, for film screenings or intimate concerts, conferences, or lectures. Depending on the setup, up to 150 people can be accommodated. This is particularly important for search queries regarding seating plan, seats, and capacity, as the stage does not offer a rigid standard configuration but a changeable spatial concept. Additionally, sound, lighting, and video technology, which according to the official site meet all requirements, as well as a foyer that can quickly be transformed into a seminar room, are included. This combination makes the Kammerbühne interesting for very different event formats, from classic theater to readings to conferences or private event ideas. Therefore, those searching for Kammerbühne Cottbus photos or Kammerbühne Cottbus schedule will not only find individual images on the official website but also a good understanding of how the space actually works. Another plus is accessibility: The stage is suitable for wheelchairs, although registration by email or phone is recommended. Thus, the Kammerbühne combines practical usability with artistic versatility. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/staatstheater/spielstaetten/artikel-kammerbuehne.html))

The equipment includes not only the hall itself but also the surroundings around the stage. The official description mentions a lounge at the ballet studio, dressing rooms behind the stage, a reception area in the foyer, an outdoor seating area under the entrance roof, as well as a kitchen with counter and bar, which is set up and managed by the service team. These details are relevant for the first impression as well as for the actual usability during events. Furthermore, as part of measures to increase energy efficiency of the Brandenburg package for the year 2024, the stage lighting in the Kammerbühne has been renewed, indicating a well-maintained and technically updated location. For the SEO analysis, this is particularly valuable because terms like equipment, seating plan, seats, and capacity are not left abstract but are filled with real spatial qualities. The Kammerbühne is therefore not just a transit place but a precisely organized event space that brings together intimate closeness, technical capability, and flexible use. Those looking for a location with manageable size but professional infrastructure will find a very convincing solution here. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/staatstheater/spielstaetten/artikel-kammerbuehne.html))

History, Character, and Special Atmosphere of the Kammerbühne

The history of the Kammerbühne Cottbus gives the place a special depth. According to Brandenburg Tourism, this was the House of Construction Workers during the GDR era, a building with a completely different original usage profile. Between 1997 and 1999, it was converted into the Kammerbühne and ceremoniously opened with Goethe's Clavigo. This transformation from a socially influenced meeting place to a theater stage is very significant for the cultural profile of Cottbus. It shows that the Kammerbühne did not emerge from nothing but has acquired a new function from an existing urban structure. This is precisely why the place still feels grounded, open, and multifaceted today. Additionally, the programmatic stance of the house: The official description emphasizes the range between classical and modern, between municipal theater and free scene, between old and young, as well as between artistic appropriation of the world and immediate social or political engagement. This is more than just a slogan. It describes very accurately why the Kammerbühne is so attractive for theater visits: Here, one does not get sterile standard evenings but a house with character that reacts both aesthetically and socially. Event series like Theatertreff or Kaffeeklatsch with celebrities also show that the Kammerbühne has repeatedly been used as a place for exchange and conversation. ([brandenburg-tourism.com](https://www.brandenburg-tourism.com/poi/spreewald/stages/kammerbuehne-state-theatre-cottbus/))

The special atmosphere arises from this connection of history and present. The Kammerbühne is small enough for drama, music, and dance to have a very direct impact, and open enough for new formats and guest performances to assert themselves there. This is precisely where its appeal lies: It is neither a purely museum-like space nor an arbitrary multipurpose hall, but a stage with character. The term scene change describes this attitude very aptly, as it not only refers to a change on stage but also to a change of perspective between generations, forms, and themes. This openness also explains why productions like Freddie, HERE, or Die Kuh Rosmarie work just as well here as reading series or discussion formats. The Kammerbühne offers a place where close contact with the audience is possible and where artistic ideas do not get lost in a large space. From an SEO perspective, this fits excellently with search queries for theater cottbus kammerbühne or kammerbühne staatstheater cottbus, as the name is not just a room designation but stands for a specific kind of theater experience: close, flexible, relevant to the present, and yet firmly anchored in the cultural life of the city. Photos, Highlights, and Why a Visit is Worthwhile

Those searching for Kammerbühne Cottbus photos usually want to get an impression of how the space feels. The official pages provide good clues for this: There are views of the multifunctional hall, hints on different seating arrangements, information about the foyer with lounge and bar, as well as an exterior view on the Brandenburg Tourism portal. Together, this creates an image of a stage that feels approachable and precise rather than monumental. This proximity makes the place photographically interesting: The audience sits closer to the performers, the spatial effect is more immediate, and even small gestures have more presence. Additionally, the different formats create strong visual contrasts. Freddie brings the world of Freddie Mercury into a ballet language, HERE is a European premiere with an international profile, and Die Kuh Rosmarie is aimed at a younger audience and shows how versatile the stage is for families and children. There are also festival evenings like those at the FilmFestival Cottbus, which also uses the Kammerbühne as a venue. This creates images that work well in both social media and local communication. For seekers who want a location with real atmosphere instead of an interchangeable stage, this is a strong argument. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/staatstheater/spielstaetten/artikel-kammerbuehne.html))

A visit is worthwhile not only because of individual productions but because of the combination of space, program, and proximity. The Kammerbühne manages to create a concentration under 150 seats that often lacks in larger houses. This is precisely why formats that demand direct reaction, fine tension, and close contact work well there. The house is simultaneously well-equipped technically and atmospherically flexible, which is equally important for high-quality theater evenings as for guest performances, readings, or special events. Additionally, the Kammerbühne is not a marginal phenomenon of the Staatstheater but a fixed part of the performance operation with recurring dates, premieres, and additional formats. Therefore, those planning an evening can rely on a versatile cultural offering that ranges from the current schedule to special formats like reading clubs or dance theater. For the search terms kammerbühne cottbus fotos, kammerbühne cottbus spielplan, and kammerbühne staatstheater cottbus, this results in a clear added value: The stage is not only findable but visually, organizationally, and artistically well describable. This makes it a convincing location for visitors looking for a real place with profile. ([staatstheater-cottbus.de](https://www.staatstheater-cottbus.de/de/programm/spielplan.html))

Yes, I can recommend this venue, just like all the other venues of the Cottbus State Theatre. ❣️ It was once again a special pleasure to experience the participating actors, musicians, and Hans Petith, the theatre's conductor, in concert at the Jukebox. 😃 Many thanks to Hans Petith (organization, piano, etc.) and Marcus Paul (organization, guitar, vocals), as well as to all the other participants – you outdid yourselves again! 😃🎉🎊

"The Power Plant" The ensemble performed with incredible physical commitment...sensational. A fantastic stage design, a multifaceted production. Very exciting, informative, poignant, and timely. Many thanks also for the nighttime entertainment at the end of the play and the many additional information. The staff in the foyer were extremely friendly and accommodating. The Kammerbühne Cottbus is a gem! 💖

I visited the Kammerbühne as part of the Cottbus Film Festival. It was very pleasing that the steps were covered with reflective tape. I once fell there in the dark, injured my knee, and desperately needed new tape. The people were friendly, and the coffee—with oat milk!!—was good. I'll be back for another performance at the State Theater soon. I'm deducting one star because the restrooms smell really bad.

"FREDDIE": What a firework display of emotions! An ABSOLUTE BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE by the entire team – from the choreographer to the outstanding ballet ensemble and everyone else involved "behind the scenes." It was UNIQUE, BREATHTAKING, ECSTATIC... simply SO IMPRESSIVE. The audience accompanies Freddie Mercury on his journey through life, experiencing his inner turmoil, his struggles, and his far too early death. The performance is a magnificent symbiosis of unforgettable hits by the band, visuals, spoken word sequences, and demanding ballet, pushing the dancers to their absolute limits. Many thanks to all the performers for this fantastic evening at the Cottbus Chamber Theatre. Since it was the last performance of this season (March 27, 2024), we hope for a repeat performance next season so that many more guests can enjoy this highlight.
