Gladhouse Cottbus | Events & Tickets

The Gladhouse Cottbus is much more than just a classic event location. The house combines music, cinema, parties, readings, workshops, and cultural education in a historic building that has been an integral part of the city's cultural life for decades. The official website describes the youth cultural center as a place for cultural and educational offerings for children, teenagers, and adults; the city of Cottbus refers to it as a legendary youth cultural center near the city center, where concerts, scene parties, exhibitions, and workshops take place. This very mix makes the Gladhouse highly relevant for searches related to programs, tickets, cinema, parties, photos, and events today, as here lively performances and a historical backdrop come together directly. Events today and upcoming dates at Gladhouse Cottbus

Those searching for gladhouse cottbus events today or gladhouse cottbus upcoming events will find the best entry point directly on the homepage. There, the house currently shows the Obenkino program for the cinema week 30.04.-06.05.2026 with titles like nouvelle vague and the frog and the water. At the same time, the homepage refers to other program components, allowing current cultural offerings, film screenings, and event dates to be captured in a single overview. For SEO analysis, it is important: The search interest here is not only focused on a single event type but on the entire weekly rhythm of the house. This makes the location particularly attractive for users who want to know what is happening today spontaneously and for all those who want to plan their upcoming weekends with a quick glance at upcoming dates. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/))

The current data also shows how versatile the event profile of the house is. On Eventim, the GLAD-HOUSE is listed with 13 events; among them are concerts, party dates, children's offerings, comedy, and special tickets. Examples from the upcoming planning include Die Schöne Party on 09.05.2026, Kiezpoeten: Slam Show on 30.05.2026, Keimzeit in June, Boxnight in September, and further concerts and parties into the winter. This is precisely why search terms like gladhouse cottbus events, gladhouse cottbus program, and gladhouse cottbus concerts work so well: The location is not limited to a single format but combines different target groups and genres. So, if someone is looking for the program today, they are usually not just looking for an evening but a selection for multiple cultural interests. Tickets, advance sales, and box office

For the keyword gladhouse cottbus tickets, the official ticket logic is particularly clear: According to the ticket service, admission tickets for all events are generally available at the box office. If an advance sale is set up for an event, it is indicated in the program overviews with a corresponding link. Pre-orders are only possible to a limited extent and should be made by phone using the numbers provided in the contact section. In practice, this means: The official website does not rely on a general shop for all dates but on a flexible, event-related ticket structure. This is important for visitors because booking paths can vary depending on the format, and the exact information always depends on the respective program point. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/kartenservice/))

Additionally, external ticket platforms show what the advance sale feels like in practice. Ticketmaster displays a seating plan for the GLAD-HOUSE and explains that you must select the event to see the seating arrangement. Eventim lists several current dates with prices for the venue and additionally lists the booking fee that is calculated in the ticket process. This combination of box office, program link, and platform seating plan is precisely why users search for both tickets and seating plans: Some events are more standing or party formats, while others have reservable seating areas or a visible seating plan. For SEO and user service, it is therefore important to clearly bring both levels together. ([ticketmaster.de](https://www.ticketmaster.de/venue/gladhouse-cottbus-tickets/cotgladh/706))

Party, concerts, and cinema at the Glad-House

The Gladhouse Cottbus thrives on its diversity. The technical room overview explicitly mentions a large hall for concerts, parties, celebrations, conferences, and student theater, a small hall for smaller concerts, seminars, cabaret, and as a party floor, as well as a cinema hall for film screenings, smaller concerts, discussion rounds, and talks. This division explains why search queries like gladhouse cottbus party, gladhouse cottbus cinema, and gladhouse cottbus concerts regularly appear side by side. The location is not just an event venue but a house with multiple forms of culture under one roof. The Obenkino complements the music and event area with its own film program, which is currently particularly visible on the homepage. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/r%C3%A4ume/technische-ausstattung/))

The current dates also clearly demonstrate this mix. On the homepage and at Eventim, party formats like Die Schöne Party appear, alongside concerts like Keimzeit, Letz Zep, or other live acts, as well as cinema offerings with curated programs. The city of Cottbus therefore describes the Glad-House as an interface for culture, cultural education, and youth work, where you can attend not only concerts but also scene parties, exhibitions, and workshops. For visitors, this is a strong advantage: If someone is looking for a party, they do not end up in an isolated club but in a location with cultural depth; if someone attends a concert, they do not experience a sterile hall but a house with film, education, and encounters in the environment. This diversity is the actual unique selling point of the Gladhouse Cottbus brand. ([eventim.de](https://www.eventim.de/en/city/cottbus-50/venue/glad-house-cottbus-8090/))

Directions and parking at Gladhouse Cottbus

For the search for gladhouse cottbus directions, the official page is very specific. By car, the journey from Berlin leads via A13 and A15 to the Cottbus Süd exit. From Dresden, the website mentions A13 and B169, and from Frankfurt (Oder), Eisenhüttenstadt, and Guben, it mentions B112 and then B97. Those traveling from Bautzen, Hoyerswerda, or Spremberg also drive via B97. Public transport is also well described: From Cottbus main station, you can take tram 4 to the Marienstraße/Glad House stop or walk about 15 minutes. For practical visits, these are the reliable basic information that should be checked before an event. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/anreise/))

For the keyword gladhouse cottbus parking, it is important not to invent anything. The official arrival page does not mention any dedicated parking spaces or a separate parking facility but focuses on access routes and public transport. This does not mean that there may not be parking spaces in the vicinity, but it clearly states: The house does not promote a dedicated parking solution as a fixed location advantage on its official page. This is precisely why the combination of directions, tram stop, and central location is so useful for visitors. Therefore, those arriving by car should not blindly rely on a designated organizer garage but should consider the route and the local parking situation in advance. For organic search traffic, this is a typical information need that arises directly from user intent behind parking and directions. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/anreise/))

Seating plan, rooms, and capacity at Gladhouse Cottbus

The Gladhouse Cottbus is spatially versatile and technically designed for different formats. The large hall measures 16.4 by 11.5 meters and is designed according to official room information for up to 750 standing or 250 seated guests. Additionally, film screenings with 200 seats are possible there. The small hall, also called Slow, is 18 meters long and 5 meters wide and offers a maximum of 100 standing or 70 seated guests. The cinema hall on the upper floor is 12 by 5 meters in size and accommodates 70 viewers when seated. There is also an adjoining room that can be flexibly used for workshops, project work, seminars, rehearsal room, or cloakroom and is designed for a maximum of 80 standing places. This clear tiering makes the house interesting for both organizers and audiences looking for seating plans and capacity. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/r%C3%A4ume/technische-ausstattung/))

Important for all visitors is also the accessibility. The official room details emphasize that all event spaces are accessible, and the building's history explicitly mentions the installation of an elevator as well as the direct connection of the historic building as a step towards complete accessibility. This makes the Gladhouse not only functionally flexible but also comparatively comfortable in terms of accessibility. For inquiries about seating plans, the reference to Ticketmaster is helpful because a specific seating plan is displayed there for individual events. However, the most important number for on-site use remains the large range between concert, party, and cinema operations: a house that can cover everything from a small workshop to a large live evening without losing its historical structure. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/service/r%C3%A4ume/technische-ausstattung/))

History and special features of the house

The history of the Gladhouse Cottbus is a central part of its impact. The current cultural center is based on a building complex that was constructed by the citizens of Cottbus in 1846/47 as a citizens' casino. There were several renovations and expansions, including a bowling alley on the north side, a beer cellar, and later a representative two-story head building. After World War II, the house was inaugurated in 1951 as a youth club and served until 1989 as a place for various youth cultural offerings. When the condition was already dilapidated at the end of 1989 and demolition was being considered, the reopening in March 1990 as a youth cultural center marked a turning point. This historical line is particularly relevant for searches related to photos, history, or special features because the building has not only been used but visibly developed further from various eras. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/%C3%BCber-uns/geschichte-des-hauses/))

The contrast between old substance and modern use is particularly strong. In the late 1990s and in 2011/2012, the house was gradually renovated, the outer shell renewed, and accessibility completed with an elevator. The official history describes the building as a prominent urban structure in late classical form language; preserved facades of the head building, the hall, and the northern side foyer have been renovated in their original structure. Thus, the Gladhouse combines a historic appearance with contemporary usability. The city of Cottbus and the house itself also emphasize its role as a municipal enterprise and as an important place for culture, education, and youth work. This is exactly what makes the location sustainably exciting: It is not only a stage for today but a grown piece of urban history with current radiance. ([gladhouse.de](https://www.gladhouse.de/%C3%BCber-uns/geschichte-des-hauses/))

We were at a concert by Ledz-Zep - a Led Zeppelin tribute band - on 14.03.25, which we had seen two years ago at the same place. Because we enjoyed it so much back then, we traveled again from Chemnitz to attend the concert - and we were not disappointed. A cool location - ideal for events and concerts in a slightly smaller, more private setting. Entry was super easy. The atmosphere was great - the acoustics were awesome. We can recommend it.

Nice little concert venue that's worth the trip to Cottbus. Three bars (drinks only) and reasonable prices. The bar inside on the raised platform offers a great view of the stage. The staff was super friendly! The bar and restrooms in the entrance area allow for a relaxed exit after the concert despite the crowd. We'll gladly come back.

Exciting place to experience something. Concerts and movies at the Oben-Kino as well as school events take place at the Gladhouse. In November, there's a concert with the band Kuult. Nice staff, suitable sanitary facilities, and moderate drink prices. So there's always something happening at the Gladhouse. Highly recommend.
