Fresh Variety from the Region at the Cottbus Weekly Market
On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Cottbus Weekly Market invites you to a relaxed shopping experience in the heart of the city at the Stadthallenvorplatz. From 08:00 to 15:00, regional products, short distances, and personal advice meet the established market atmosphere of Cottbus.
Regional Products for Daily Shopping
The range extends from chicken eggs to game meat and offers a diverse selection for local shopping. Fruits and vegetables, meat and sausage products, cheese, baked goods, and other products make the weekly market a popular destination for fresh food and seasonal goods.
Direct Marketing Producers in the Heart of Cottbus
The weekly market brings producers, traders, and market-goers together at a central location. Visitors experience regional diversity up close, discover craft-based offers, and strengthen the local economy through their purchases. Personal conversations and expert advice are part of the shopping experience at the market.
Market Tradition with a Long History
The Cottbus weekly markets have a long tradition: Weekly markets have been regularly held in the city since 1457. Today, the city of Cottbus organizes several fixed market locations and continues the market tradition with offerings for daily needs.
Practical Information for Visiting the Market
The Friday market takes place year-round at the Stadthallenvorplatz, also known as Berliner Platz. Along the Puschkinpromenade, about 50 parking spaces with tickets are available. The central location makes access easier and connects the market visit with a walk through Cottbus city center.
