Discovering music, moving, and marveling together at the Mucki Concert
At the Mucki Concert in the chamber music hall of the rehearsal center, families with children aged three to five experience an age-appropriate family event full of children's laughter, movement, and classical music. Here, it is not just about listening: the little concert guests are allowed to dance, clap, tap, jump, and stomp – always in tune with the musical impulses.
Participation is part of the concert program
The child-friendly concert combines well-known children's songs with lively chamber music. The varied arrangement appeals to the natural urge to move in young children and creates a learning experience where curiosity, attention, and joy come together. Ears and hearts are addressed as playfully as the muscles during jumping and stomping.
Experience classical music up close
Members of the Philharmonic Orchestra play music for English horn, violins, and cellos. The program includes not only children's songs but also works by Franz Schubert and Antonín Dvořák. In this short, manageable concert format, children encounter classical instruments and different sound colors.
Musically supported
Moderation and conceptualization are in the hands of musician and concert educator Stefanie Platzer. The combination of movement, listening, and direct interaction supports an age-appropriate development of concentration, musical perception, and expression. Parents enjoy quality time together while children actively become part of the concert.
A safe environment for young concert guests
The chamber music hall in the rehearsal center of the State Theater Cottbus offers an indoor space for the musical family experience. The limited duration of 45 minutes fits the attention span of many preschool-aged children and allows for a relaxed introduction to the world of concerts.
Conclusion: A concert that gets children moving
The Mucki Concert invites families to discover classical music with all their senses. Between children's songs, instrumental sounds, and small movement actions, a shared morning full of wonder and learning fun unfolds. Those who want to not just hear music but actively experience it will find a particularly child-friendly concert experience here.
